Have you seen Some Kind of Wonderful? Great 80's flick. And I used to have the exact same cowboy boots that Watts wore in the final scene! But in that movie Amanda was with Hardy more because of social status and peer pressure and not for love.
And any reason that you stay with someone, other than because you love them, is the wrong reason.
