The person who travels a lot will have first hand knowledge, but it is a very expensive way to pick up knowledge. The person who reads a lot will be able to gain knowledge quite afford ably, so he will be able to gain more knowledge in less time. He should know best

Knows the best what? Do you mean knows the MOST?
If so, it would depend on what the former was reading, and where the latter was traveling. Nonetheless, I don't know what quantification you're seeking. However, I will state that it's better to go out and experience the world first-hand rather than read about it. The sticking point of course is one of financial resources, or lack thereof. |

the one who travels a lot has the advantage because he/she actually experiences things, people, places. books--though i am a big lover of them--will help one experience these things via imagination. now, not everybody has good enough imagination to make them knowledgeable of things. but that's another story.

according to me person who travels a lot has an upper hand.
theoretical knowledge is incomplete without any practical application. A simple example to the above is knowing the art of love making................and.................., actually doing the act. Now u can urslf decide which is the better option knowing or actually doing it. |
