How come a lot of people who drive fast cars drive slow in them?

It is better to have one while your younger but then it's the financial issue. I don't have money to even buy and run a crappy car, never mind a good one.

Once people retire and their kids (if they have any) move away from home and become independent they always have more money to spend on things like a new car or holidays. Also people who are older often want to spend their savings while they are alive, which is a good thing if you ask me, they earned it, they deserve to spend it.
