sharing a car btw sister and me... HOW TO DO IT?!?
I'm literaly pissed off... why is it when I tell my little sister who just got her G2 about 8 months ago that I am going to work, she takes it and shows up as late as possible? She has no job, no money to pay for gas and maintanence but still.... she gets up and drives to car! I told my mom and she doesnt do anything about it? right now I have less than an hour to get to work and she left two hours ago... I am so pissed off!!!! What can I do to convince my mom to get her to stop driving? And no... I'm not taking to bus for a 45 minute drive to my workplace. I have worked hard for my liscence and this car that was given to me! Some help and guidance would be thankfully needed....

trust me. i deal with this situation EVERYDAY too.
I am the youngest (16) and i have two older sister who are in college who I share the car with in the summer. what we do is the night before we decide who gets the car when. that way it is planned out and everyone can get to the place they need to. also, people with jobs or sports get the car rather then someone going to a friends house because a job or sports is more important and more of a commitment. I hope everything works out! good luck! |

If the car was given to you why is your sister driving it? Who is paying for gas? And why, if you have less than an hour to get to work are you on the computer? And if you're late for work or don't show up at all are you going to tell your boss that it's all your sister's fault? That won't look very good on you.
Do what you have to do to get to work. If that means riding the bus for 45 minutes do it. I ride 3 buses for 2 hours one way to get to work. I don't like it but I do it because I have no alternative and I have responsibilities. In this world you do what you have to do. After work today, sit down with your parents and your sister and work out a mature schedule for the both of you to use the car. If you are the primary person who pays for gas and maintenance your schedule should come first. There has to be a mutual agreement and consequences for not adhering to the agreement. This has to be done in a mature way, not with complaints. Now shut off the computer and get to work. |
