How to sense the force of society to start a business?

I had an experience that worried me. There was a time when I watch a dancer that was famous on the old day on television and I said some word in my mind that she is old and it's time for the younger to dance. Somehow, the dancer on television get upset and said that she had a millian dollar leg. Recently i saw hyundai car on the street. I read Toyota research on fuel cell car and Mazda on rotary engine. Somehow, I sense that that change doesn't happen randomly, but because of the season change in people psychology in an area. The same reason why i found brand doughnut, wallgreen, wallmart, burger king, jack in the box, carl jr. The company didn't pic the brand randomly but their product is for customer who catch the sense of being burger king and so on. I often dreamed about making a car company. Can anyone teach me how to sense the society tendency so I can start a business? I know that I can't just open something without i sense my future customer want first. Should i become a jedi
