Where can I find a good career in Michigan???

I have a good job, but I want a career. I spent over $40,000.00 on an education but still have the same job as I started out with before college. I'm stuck!!

I understand the expenses of college!! You want the career choice to pay off more than your time in college cost you! That, I get!! It is more than money too, it is a lifestyle in which that education should allow you.

I hate to be the one to tell you this but, i have good friends who live in different parts of this state and jobs, careers are just not available readily. One of my friends husbands had his job for years and they laid him off out of having too. Now, he has tried all over to get any kind of work...nothing! He took a part-time job just so they can eat! It breaks my heart as at one time, they were doing very well!

Another one of my friends, grew up in michigan and decided that after all of her adult life, she wanted to move back home! Kalamazoo, I think. They have tried to find employmant for her husband there for two years! Now, they have decided not to mve back because he cannot find a job anywhere! Now, that was a TWO year search plus, visits to look into employment!

So, all I can say is good luck on this one. It is just that the employment has fallen through the floor in this state! At least, at this time!

either ask your manager if you can get into a management training program or take your diploma and experience and go looking.
