First you need to make some sort of a recording, maybe you could buy a microphone and sing & record a cd to send to people or just to have on hand in case. You could also see if there are any local openings to sing at fairs or talent shows or anything like that. You could try calling you local parks & recreation dept. because they host most events. Also I live near Carowinds theme park & during the summer they hire teens to sing each day. You could try something like that.
