broken ipod any ideas on how to fix?

my ipod is acting completely normally except when i click to play songs they don't start and remain on 0:00. everything is responding normally...it still syncs normally, but it won't play any song...any ideas?

reformat with the latest software for your ipod
should fix it but you will lose your music

if not its probably a HD fault

As hutsy said, reformatting it will loose your music. If it's still under warenty then i'd send it back to apple, they might even replace it.

My Ipod froze the other week.

Pluged it into my mates Ipod dock speakers thing and it froze after about 10 mins, could have been a song it was trying to play, i'm not sure. But I had to wait till it ran out of battery and then charge it up again to use it again, bit annoying, but at least it still works.

huh, sounds like a corrupt file or something for sure. bet you were glad it fired up after the fact though!
