why i cant find removable disk when i connect my ipod on my computer?

i have an Ipod but i cant use it as a removable disk. I connect it to my computer, Itunes recognize it, but i cant find it on My Computer

There is an option in iTunes to turn your iPod into a open drive for storage but if you drag and drop songs they are not going to play the iPod stores the songs a certain way in a special area with you use transfer with iTunes.

1. Connect your iPod to your computer and open iTunes.
2. Select iPod in the iTunes Source list.
3. Click the iPod Options button in the lower-right corner of the iTunes window.
4. Click the "Enable disk use" checkbox, and then click OK.
