2 iPods and one computer?

I have 2 iPods, 1 computer. I want to have different accounts. I can't figure out how to buy songs without putting it onto the other one. My sibling and I would be sharing the same songs. I don't want that because then we would be sharing space. When I first plugged it in, it just started to load everything I used to have. I am afraid of deleating something on one iPod and it just deleat on both of them. How do I make it seperate?
