Can I play these PS2 games on PS3 and not damage it? - Online Community For Friends & Social Networking!

The games are: Ace Combat 04, 05, and 0.
I heard that if you try to save the games, it might ruin the PS3 saving ability for newer games on the PS3, is this true? I dont want to take any risks right now, thanks in adance.

As far as I know PS3 has backward compatibility with all PS2 games. Look on Sonys website.
