Mail order movies or brick and morter?

Netflix or Blockbuster? or do you go to the store to get your movies? Do you get em from the rental machines at grocery stores or a special store just for renting things?

I was a Netflix, then Blockbuster online. I loved being able to take the movies into a blockbuster store and get a new movie immediately, but they raised their rates so I'm back at Netflix.

I don't really rent. I love to have dvd's sitting there that I can watch over and over again. I'd rather buy from a shop than rent.

DVDs are so cheap now its nearly best to just buy them or borrow them from friends
must be a lot of DVDs people have bought though and watch them a few times and they are never watched again

I don't watch enough movies to justify doing something like Blockbuster or Netflix. And we don't have a Blockbuster here in town, so that doesn't help me any either.

And I never heard of rental machines at the grocery store. But I did hear that Walgreens is going to do a new thing for buying movies. They will have a kiosk in the store where you can go and pick out your movie on a computer screen, and then it will burn it to a DVD while you wait. No more stocking the shelves with movies for you to buy.

So when I do feel the need to rent a movie, I go to an actual brick & mortal rental store... But that doesn't happen very often either...

If I didn't have a movie rental service I probably wouldn't watch many movies either, but the price I would pay to see some of the theater movies I didn't bother to go see equals the price of the subscription, so I just get unlimited movies. I get to see lots of other movies I wouldn't have paid for, like Return of the Living Dead 5: Rave to the Grave, and Leprechaun: Back 2 da Hood, and a bunch of crappy asian movies.

Those movies sound terrible. Especially the crappy Asian ones. I don't have enough time to do all the things I want to do, so I can't see spending time watching movies that I don't really want to see...

I agree. They didn't sound like great movies.

I love watching films, just I know I have better things to do than that, which deters me from watching them.

oh don't get me wrong, they are all terrible films. but for some reason I get them. sometimes I get them to see HOW horrible they will be. and I love movies that are made so people who are in a hurry will get the wrong one. For example, I watched Transmorphers, that was probably the worst thing I've ever seen.
