My girlfriend of two and a half years cheated on me should i leave her or work it...

...out? We have two children together a pare of twins and the fling lasted 4 months in which he scored. she claims she's sorry and would never do it again that we should work things out for the sake of the kids man i'm so hurt and confused. The images in my head are also a killer.

For four months! One night's indiscretion or even a weekend, I MIGHT be able to understand--but I'm not a cheating piece of sh*t, either--but for months she lied, hid, conspired and creeped. Hm, idk, if it was me my guy would have to show me serious proof of remorse and change. Even then I don't know if I could accept him back.

Cheatin should never be tolerated no matter what! Leave her a** and take the kids. they should be the focus of your life now. I'm very sorry by the way.

Enjoy your free pass with that girl you've had your eye on for a while, then work it out. Everyone wins!

i personally couldnt deal with a cheater.. i would take time apart . just explain to her that if you continue the relationship you believe it will deteriorate even more than if you tried to work it out at this present time. you need time to accept the situation. you will also have time to see if she chooses to carry on her little fiasco.. if she is truly sorry she wouldnt be able to keep doing it. if she gets over you and keeps it up ,she would be likely to do it anyway.. if all goes as planned i highly reccomend you go to couples counseling. im reading a book right now that says realationshps in which infidelity has occured have a pretty good survival rate over people who just dont see eye to eye .sounds outrageous to me because i COULD not be in a relationshp with a dude who cheated.. screw that...but i dont have kids ..and they are who you would need to make it work for. if it is nearly impossible to get over these recurring images and resentment you 2 will argue to no end and that would be more damaging to the kids than anything .... it may hurt to be apart but sometimes its better... BEST OF LUCK!!!

I think you would have a much better life trying to raise two kids on your own. that way you never get to go out or have any time to enjoy life, you get to stay at home (when you arne't working) and bust your ass trying to be a mommy and a daddy.

damn that's a long fling! what is that, like 12% of the entire time you've been with her?? sorry if my math is off!!

I think it would be different if you were married, I would say certainly try to work it out but in this case I don't know what to tell you. If you love her and cherish the kids you might want to give it a try.

Maybe see if she is willing to do some counselling, get to the root of why she cheated in the first place or something like that.

Good luck!

For a start why is this in this section?

I'd say to tollerate it, just make sure it doesn't happen again. Having kids changes the whole thing.

Same here on the section selection, I thought it was physical health not mental health
