I went to the gym..?

I went to the gym today and I hopped on one of the machines, I was on it for literally 1 minute and my legs turned to jello! I couldn't even walk down the steps to get some water!! I just left I was so embaressed (of course I had to work out next to the hot guy LOL) but I'm asking, is there a way to get some stamania or should I just do the machines just a little bit slower and work through the pain after it comes in 10 minutes, rather then one?

But my main question, since I am so out of shape, yet young.. be feeling this pain so little, I will only be at the gym for about 30-45 minutes before I feel I can't go anymore (being so out of shape) so since I'm so out of shape, will I be losing weight, even though it is a little bit of time spent atthe gym?

Hi; First of all, doing some exercise is better then doing nothing at all. You have already done the hardest part. That is go to the gym. As time goes on you will see changes. What you want to do when you first get to the gym is stretch your muscles. If you don't stretch your legs will turn to jello and you may pull a muscle. Ask the workers or that hot guy what stetches you can do. After you stretch get on the stationary bike and ride for about ten minutes. You don't have to go all out. What you are doing is getting your body ready to exercise. Now you can go do the machines but use low weights and ask questions if you need to. You do not want to get injured. As time goes on your endurance will improve and you will notice changes. Changes are not going to happen overnight, it will take time. You have to make fitness a habit, like brushing your teeth. Want more information? Go to your local bookstore and check out the magizines. You can learn alot. Take care.

start slow and work your way up. if you're not accustomed to exercise the last thing you want to do is blast out of the gate full force.

Always stretch prior to using the machines. (something I don't do but should!!)

And work with a trainer. They will design a program that is customized for your fitness level and goals.

Ive never been to a gym as it looks too boring
Id rather (if I had to) go do something outside to keep myself fit like cycling or climbing

I've never been to a gym, I might start, I need to exercise more. The most I do is walking back and forth to university.

I don't know her, but I do know he hasn't been around for 4 months and is not likely to get angry at my post.
