What are some good hobbies for someone that is trying to stay alcohol, and drug free?

This is an honest question. I'd like to find hobbies that are healthy and don't include substance abuse.

Defiantly anything to do with sports - exercise - fitness - completely different from sitting in the pub drinking etc or sitting around with mates thinking you need drugs to get by ....

Skydiving!!!! Who needs an artificial buzz when you can experience the greatest feeling of accomplishment and sense of freedom that there is to be had! It's a pricey hobby but booze and drugs are too. Also no drop zone will let you jump if they suspect that you are under the influence, you need your faculties about you when you are doing 120 MPH!

I found hunting to be pretty good. the feel of a helpless animal's life draining away while you strangle it with your bare hands. exhilarating.

Dick Cheeney hunts with catch and release. I don't support that. Kill it and mount it on your wall I say.

Yes. Because dead animals make for a lovely decor. Who wouldn't want a carcass hanging on their wall...
