The new guy

Hey,

I'm new here so what better a place to start than introducing myself?

I'm 18, from Scotland and i'm a student at university studying web design & development.

I'm a relaxed person, easy to get along with so i'm sure i'll like it here.

Yeah, how is a photograph going to help show an accent?

I've got some pics...hold on.

Just me - http://www.freedivs.com/pic/DSCN1026.JPG
Me + my brothers - http://www.freedivs.com/pic/P3310006.JPG

Can't find any red-head girls that look Scottish, thats the only decent pics I have that look Scottish, just cause we were wearing our kilts.

ps i'll probably delete them from my host in a while, so look at them while you can

Those are very cool... Thanks for sharing. But I bet HLR is going to be very disappointed.

I always thought that the color of your kilt signified something about the clan you were from. If that was true, wouldn't you and your brothers have matching kilts?

Yeah it is true. But these days people just wear what they like the most (and can get cheaper, cause kilts do cost quite a lot - $1000+ just for the kilt, accessories with it will cost more, probably spent about $2000 on mine, and most of the stuff was either ex-rental or in a sale). Although I did manage to get my tartan for my mums side of the family (i'm wearing the right colours, my brothers arn't), my dads side is English so doesn't have a tartan.

its probably quite difficult to get the exact tartan is it?
I knew they were already very expensive
there are Irish kilts also but they seem to be a lot more similar (and cheaper)

Well you can get ones cheaper, but they arn't made properly and won't really last for long.

It's quite hard to find the right tartan, unless you have money and order it in (which costs a bit more, but still not much). Finding mine in a sale the right size was amazing (although it's getting a bit small for me now, either i'm going to have to loose some weight, or get it extended, won't get a new one for a while I don't think, this one has a good year or two in it still).
