I think you should stop simply because to ask a question like this means your not worthy to hear it. You are no longer welcome to the club.

Once A Rocker Always A Rocker Never Give Up On Rock Or Metal. Remember: Rock Rock Till You Drop. And Heavy Metal Isn't Young Stuff. That Was A Dumb Answer. Don't Start Listening To That Rap Or Hip-hop Crap Either!

Never stop something that you enjoy. If you do, then you might as well crawl into a cave.

I'm approaching my 40's..you're never too old to be a heavy metal/rock-n-roll fan. Hell the band I've seen the most and most recently has been Gwar. As you get older you may inquire new tastes, but that doesn't mean those old tatses need to disappear. You are just merely broadening your selection. I can listen to Eagle's, Boston, Journey, Black Sabbath, Doors, up to Gwar, Slayer, Exodus, etc. Most of the time it depends on my mood..I usally go for the heavy metal. stuff.

I dont know why you need to make a point of not listening to it anymore
If you get bored of it you just will
I think if you liked it at any time though you will come back to it in the future so dont sell your old albums and CDs just yet
