We are deeply, deeply sorry to say that due to licensing constraints, we can no longer allow access to Pandora for most listeners located outside of the U.S.

I think there will always exist free music online just it will be mainly from unreleased artists and groups (the legal stuff anyway)
you know if you actually listen to unreleased stuff you will be surprised at the quality
I saw a clip of the MTV awards this year and it was plastic
the people receiving awards are mainly just marketing puppets

some bands and artists embrace free access to their music online (apart from Metallica of course)
its the record companies who dont

Radiohead offered their latest album online ( In Rainbows ) for "whatever you think its worth"
it would actually make me go pay for it just because of how it was offered
(I like some Radiohead anyway so..)

I agree, good for them to bust the mold. I like a few of their songs and if I was a fan or even if I thought their newest release was great I'd pay for it too. not $17 like a store bought cd but maybe $8 or whatever.

I have no sympathy for the record companies b/c they screw the consumer and I bet in a lot of the cases the artists too...they failed to adapt to new technology!

the problem with being able to access new and unsigned bands is...they suck. unsigned bands, for the most part, are unsigned because they aren't good enough.

you might have a point, I have witnessed vast exceptions to that rule though...
