new releases

I used to look forward to new music each week. Now I have no idea if anything is coming out that I want to hear within the next year.

Anyone liking any new music?

actually im the same
I used to have a better idea of whats coming up but then I used to buy music magazines and check music sites more then
now I think its so much easier to find music that the new releases in general dont matter so much
if theres someone I really like Ill usually know if theres something new on the way but thats only for a select few

I like the old music much better.

But I also like free stuff. Every week, I check out the iTunes store and the Free Single of the Week. Unless it's absolutely horrible, I download it.

how do you know it is horrible unless you download it?

I guess I've just reached a point where I've stopped liking music. If I liked you in the past, we're still friends. But I'm not making any new musical friends. Even new albums from past bands aren't welcome.

For example Metallica's newest album, crap. NIN, crap. TON, crap.

I'm just too old.

30 second preview. If you hate it in the first 30 seconds you'll hate the full length version.

well, that's b/c Metallica past the 90's bites, I never cared much for NIN save a handful of songs, never heard of the TON!

I know the feeling though, no good way to find new stuff...far be it from radio stations to play new music

true, radio is just usually commercial playlists fed to the masses
I do know that when I used listen to Radio One a lot that they had enough shows outside the commercial which really did cover a lot of new music and underground stuff

yeah, I need to revisit that real one, I just use Proton Radio from realplayer now but that gets old after about 30 hours of trance !!

pandora for me though has sub planted most everything else in that realm of listening to stuff online.

havent used Pandora before so went to have a look.. err listen and..

We are deeply, deeply sorry to say that due to licensing constraints, we can no longer allow access to Pandora for most listeners located outside of the U.S.
