I used to listen to rap music, when the 90's arrived it became 60% rap for me and 40% rave music, not long after that Jimi Hendrix caught my attention, over the years i grew less a fan of rap and more into dance, house, trance, some drum n bass, through a bit of home music production i was introduced by others to psy trance, have become now increasingly a fan of metal, death metal, will listen to some classical.
I also picked up on black sabbath, led zeppelin, deep purple, pink floyd, jethro tull, bowie, captain beefheart, frank zappa etc, over the last 7 or 8 years. Even Jean Michel Jarre and kraftwork. A guy told me my musical tastes would change as i got older, he was right. ![]() |

good range of styles
I think you are lucky you enjoy so many so many people have a narrow acceptance of music because they either just arent into music so much or they dont like to experiment with other styles I am the same in that my musical styles have changed to a certain extent and Im always trying different stuff gotta admit a lot of my especially guitar based music comes from my dad and listening to his tapes when I was young pink floyd, bob dylan, and even jean michel jarre I never really got into guitars very much but I have found lately im beginning to like them a little bit more

Like when i listened to rap i took an interest in chicano rappers, i liked their style. I have listened to some of what my parents have liked and still like, my mum likes the old motown stuff and the rock n roll greats like little richard. She likes johnny cash too and i can appreciate his stuff, he seemed a very deep man, i like that in music, depth, story telling and their own experiences being expressed in their music. |
