i watched this w/ my friend a couple of yrs ago, & ino it aint my kinda movie AT all.- not if u dont like seeing animals get tortured. im an animal luver &so can stand seeing it. if i think about the animal torture scene long enough, i still shake. if she had of told me there would b a completely incredibly braindamaged kid in it who attacks ne thing & evrything-which is wut the animal torture was part of- then i most definitely would NOT hav watched it. i also cant stand watching things where kids r drinking/smoking/drugs wen they're still kids.its just plain stupid. it made the movie REALLY stupid in my opinion. i definitely say its NOT good.

I too thought the film was very well thought out and original. You do have to pay real attention to it though, I didn't understand what was going on at first as I'd got up midway to make a cup of tea. Ive seen it twice, strangely enough the ending on the TV version differed from the DVD version.

I generally only like 2 types of films - ones that make me laugh or think. This is the latter which is why I enjoyed it. I'd recommend it.

Well worth watching but you won´t be able to do both, miss 5mins and you'll lose track. Have you seen Donnie Darko? if you liked that you'll like butterfly effect. If not get it, it's a better film and has an unbelievable soundtrack.

I liked the film a lot. But I liked the original, deleted ending better than the theatrical one. Watch it on the dvd extras.

The second one just sucked.
