Batman: The Dark Night

I'm a big fan of all (well, most) of the Batman movies. And I am really excited about the new one that is coming out this summer...

Anyone else looking forward to it?

yea hopefully it'll be worth the wait
theres gonna be some great shots from Hong Kong in the movie
its the first for Batman to go outside Gotham from any of the movies too

I liked Jack Nicholson as the joker before but I think Heath Ledger will play it well
supposedly Jack aint too happy about not being asked either oops

did you guys hear about the viral marketing they did at the san deigo comic con earlier this year?

It was pretty neat and got lots of comic geeks excited about the movie. Only I bet everyone who was there was already going to go see the movie, so maybe it was a bad choice of advertising dollars.

That's the whole point of viral marketing. Sure they geeked up the geeks at the comic convention, who were already going. But now those geeks are going to be talking to others about how excited they are about the movies, and the word spreads to non-geeks that weren't planning on going...

wait how are geeks going to talk to non-geeks? geeks keep themselves confined in cages and do not interact with non-geeks. isn't that right?

Some of us hover on the border between geek and non-geek. We act as translators between the two groups.

I think thats definitely true
there has to be people to take the binary message and translate to the masses
I definitely show tendancies of geek but I also would have behaviour patterns revered by a geek
just cant win can ya
