I don't think anything good is coming out this weekend, so I'll go see American Gangster if I go see anything.

Yep. Sounds like I'll be seeing American Gangster this weekend too. Russell Crowe is in it, so it can't be all bad, right??

Beowulf is doing good too.
Supposed to have great effects but the actual story may not be so hot

Well Beowolf is an epic poem from the 16th century, so it's writing might not be what we are used to. I just don't want to pay $8 per person to see it, so I'll wait for DVD.

I made it to American Gangster. It wasn't the Russell Crowe fest that I was hoping for, but it was a very good movie.

just because it's getting good reviews doesn't mean it is good. For example No Country For Old Men is getting amazing reviews, but it was real boring and long with very little action. I was not impressed.

as for new movies this holiday weekend, I know there is something out tomorrow, can't remember what it is.

true but at least it gets you closer to making to the decision to even think about going to see it
