How come one eyed characters in movies are ALWAYS bad guys/evil?

I have one eye and I have never seen a positive image in the entertainment field of someone who is missing an eye as a good person. And quite often the person is made fun of for having only one eye.


Is it just that I haven't seen the right movies? or is hollywood really that shallow and stereotypical?
