Why in the Christian religion do we have Jesus Christ as our example in...
...faith why is it not David or Jacob? Seriously why do you think Jesus Christ is the example instead of someone previously mentioned in the bible like Moses or Elijah? What if they were blameless in terms of sin?

Cause Jesus was the son of God...
Although you could argue that everyone is a son of God as he created us all (in the view of Christians anyway). Personally I'm open to the concept of religion, just not convinced by it.
