What makes Greek gods mythology and the Christian god Relgion?

They both had large followings...maybe it has to do with numbers of worshippers? In another thousand years, when people stop worshipping the Christian God will it be considered mythology?

PS: If you are going to say anything along the lines of "greek gods were fake and the christian god is real" dont waste your breath. Go find a nice deep lake or ocean and go preach to the crestaceans on the bottom.
