Did you have some of the "best days of your life" at school?

I always heard this best days of your life myth
and for me its just that..a myth
probably started by teachers

for me school was probably the worse part of my life (so far)
anyone else?

I think there are good experiences in school but dependent on school, the other pupils, teachers and your personality and how you coped at that age..

I thought school was pretty decent. Loads of great friends that I saw every day, learning loads of things for free (although some were useless, others helped a lot).

My school wasn't exactly great though. I mean in my last year the headmaster got "early retirement" (he got this so the education board on the council wouldn't get a bad rep for firing someone) for charging an ince cream van that came into school to sell sweets to the kids (£10 a day, 5 days a week for about 10 years he had been doing it). There was also the teacher who had an afair with a pupil in the year above me and got fired. Suffice to say that my school wasn't great, but it was one of the top schools in Scotland for producing good results strangely enough.

High school was fun, but definitely not the best years of my life. College was when I went a little bit wild. So that was fun of course, but not the best part. I think my life after college, when I settled down a bit and got a real job and started making smarter choices for myself, that was probably the best part - so far. I'll let you know if it gets any better now.

Fair enough, i'm just going through university now and it's great (although i'm far away from all my friends from high school). I'm sure life after it will be good too.
