This fall i'm going into high school. I'm a bit nervous. Do you have any advice you could give me on fashion, clothes, make-up and hair?

I'm going for kind of a preppy style.

How can I be really Confident?

Any other advice you can give me about high school?
What do alot of people wear?

i'm also kind of shy , i really want to break out of my shell, how can i do that?

i was a freshman last year..and i was very shy..so i know how you feel.


for the preppy look
-ballet shoes..totally cute!
-hair bands look cute too.
-a sweater over your shirt.

to be confident
-make new friends.
-join clubs.
-get active in sports

high skool tips.
**if you don't act like a freshman..they won't think you're one!**
-if you're tall [like me] they'll also think your a sophmore.it's weird..i know.
-don't do anything that you don't want to do...like drugs.or getting high..it's all stupid.
-if you act yourself..people will like you.
-it's better to not be popular with friends you can trust..than to be popular with people who you think are your friends.but go behind your back and tell all your secrets.

Most high school students will also be going for the "preppy" look with lowrise jeans, fitted polo tees, flip flops, manicures, sheer lip gloss, masgara pedicures and hair coloring. Although a person's appearance and social status seem monumentally crucial when starting high school, you will not be truely happy if you are not honest about who you are. Believe it or not, having a few really good friends is much better than having lots of superficial ones. High school is full of people who want to fit in so badly that they forget who they really are. If you walk through the halls with your head held held high and aren't afraid to be unique, people will admire you. High school will much easier if you don't spend most of your time trying to be popular and being true to yourself will give you a lot of confidence.

Well, I'm going to High school in the fall too, and I'm pretty nervous! But, Hollister and Abercrombie are pretty popular brands. But as I have observed in my grade in the last year, more and more people have ditched the trends and been more out there with their style, shopping at lesser known places, so they didn't end up with the same clothes as 20 other girls. I have one shirt, just one, and seven other people have the same shirt!

I think you should shop where you feel comfortable, wear clothes that you like, and think suit you. Some good stores I found were MaxRave, Tello's, Forever 21, Rue 21, and the classics such as Filene's Basement and Marshalls. But depending on where you live, it can differ.

Just be yourself, if others can't handle you, then that's their loss. You can't go through all of high school pretending to be something you're not!

yes hun im a sophomore and i will be glad to help you. first off if your into preppy stuff hollister would be a great choice.so would wet seal.

for make-up just find out what looks good on your color of skin and see if you agree.just ask the lady behind the counter where you usually buy your stuff

for Hair i think curls(ringlets) are good if you want to look preppy.

there isnt anything to be worried about. just be yourself...really because in high school we can tell whose real and whose fake.and chances are your not going to be stuffed in a trashcan like everybody says...just relax =]
