What is your favorite Hockey team?

Hockey is hugely popular where I live. I don't follow any of the local teams, but I do enjoy watching the Detroit RedWings every now and then.

gotta admit I know nothing about hockey
looks pretty rough though
and I like the music they play in between plays

Hockey is fun. It's fast paced, but usually low scoring. So it does get boring for me. But it's always more fun to watch if you have made a bet with someone.

And for some reason, most hockey players have beards or goatees. And I am a sucker for a guy with a goatee...

Hockey blows on TV, much better to see it in person. Austin has like a AA type team which is fun to go watch. our high school had a team and college was great to watch (Dartmouth).

I've never been to a pro hockey game. I have been to the Joe Louis Arena (where the Redwings play) but it was for a college invitational hockey tournament. I'd love to go to a Wings game someday.

I have. For high school/college games and for Halloween... But no, probably wouldn't do it now. But I would wear the jersey, of course.

I suppose we are all going to say our local pro team is our favorite. Phoenix Coyotes here.

Here's a story:

My favorite player, Brett Hull, son of Bobby Hull who was known as the Golden Jet, won Dallas two Stanley Cups, played with some other teams. Then before the 06 season started he was hired on the Coyotes. Awesome!!! couldn't be happier. Then the players went on strike and decided they wanted to not play that year. The next year starts, I'm excited, and on the 5th game of the season Hull decides that he's going to retire. The year on strike took too much of a toll on him and he wasn't playing as well as he used to. I got to see 1 home game with my favorite guy. The other games were road games.

ain't that some luck? Now Hull is the manager of Dallas, so I guess I'm back to liking them.
