Question TV shows you can't miss

I know the advent of Tivo and the like has changed the way people watch television. Prior to that even VHS, I used to tape tons of shows and we'd watch them later.

If there any show now or in the pasty you had to watch either live or taped??

I think for us, ages ago it was The X-files

All 3 CSIs.
The Amazing Race
Survivor
Law & Order SVU

If I don't catch them on TV, I watch them online sometime in the next few days....

But lately I have been slipping on those too... There is just too much entertainment online to bother with TV!

gotta admit there isnt ANY I would care that much about to miss
I used to like the try and keep up with the Simpsons if I could or if there was a good documentary or history program
also Blackadder or the Young Ones years ago
mainly I would make a point of watching something if I saw a trailer that interested me

They were ace

Think the Young Ones has to be one of my favorite old shows, along with men behaving badly and red dwarf.

Most networks let you watch recent shows on their websites, or you can watch them on Hulu. So tivo isn't even necessary.

I make it a point to watch Heroes, Attack of the Show, and Metalocalypse (that's an apocalypse, of metal). That's the only currently running shoes I bother to watch.

Not in run, but I also watch Lost (I hate that show, yet I keep watching), The Shield, Dexter, The L Word, Battlestar Galactica. And I might even ditch these shows when they come back on. I used to like House and Desperate Housewives, but when they came back on this season I just didn't care anymore.

My dad watched them and I usually sat with him, got into them quite a bit and still like watching them now

I watch shows on CBS.com, but they don't have full episodes of some of the ones I really want to watch. And I don't think NBC has full episodes of L&O:SVU, at least not last time I checked...

What is Hulu? I'm about to buy a DVR, so if you have an alternative, you will save me lots of money...
