guelaguetza, a oaxan restaurant in west la on sepulveda serves these wierd cricket looking things that are not crickets. There not bad actually.

I was going to also suggest the Oaxacan restaurant along with Juquila on Santa Monica Blvd.

The Los Angeles Natural History museum has a once a year Bug Fair where you can eat multi-legged critters. Unfortunately, it's already happened this year.

I went to a place called Typhoon at the Santa Monica airport and they served crickets...
