Webmaster HELP! Help with uploading index page?

I created an entire website off of a template builder. I wanted to create a custom homepage so I used Frontpage to create a header and body frame homepage and now I'm trying to save it so I can upload it as my index page. For whatever reason, everytime I SAVE AS index.html, when I try to open the file the information is coming up blank instead of displaying the whole home page. I can't understand what I am doing wrong. If I save the html of the header and body separately I can display both individually on my site but together I am unable to save as an index file. Why is this? How do I save as 1 file to upload as my homepage? I do not have any other index pages saved so this is the only one. Can someone help me?

Ok - I dont really know - but this is what it sounds like...

The index.html is a frameset. It dosnt really have any content - but instead it points to other webpages, which have the content. So it might say that the top section should point to header.html, and the rest to body.html or something like that.

In which case - you would need all three html files for it to work.

When you view the empty html page - right click and say "View Source" and post what it says - that way we might be able to help more.

Don't use frames as Hutsy said. It's a bad idea.

Using server side includes is a better option in some aspects than frames.
